LLA in mac room 6/11

I found today’s class particularly useful because a lecture by a presentation expert. Rab pointed details on the 6 people’s slides that I always thought of as trivial. For example, the sizes of the pictures. I always pasted various sizes of pictures; the word “repetition” had never entered my mind before when I made presentations. Personally, when Rab pointed out the inconsistent positioning of the pictures---the length of white showing on either side--- I was like “is that really important?” However, although we may not know it, I have started to think that these can end up unconsciously influencing one’s impression on the presentation. To prove this, most of the presentations in other classes include diverse sizes of pictures and the positioning is different on every slide, and it was hard to follow the slides. Now I feel a little superior for knowing these facts on presentations! I thought that although it is important to value repetition in presentations, one should be careful in making slides too too simple.
